eMusic: 25 Free Music Downloads

Immediately after I began downloading my 25 free mp3s from eMusic’s trial, I was hooked, stuffing my hard drive with the juiciest morsels from a selection of more than 2 million songs. I got Peter Bjorn and John, Mercury Rev, Milton Nascimento and a lot more.

High Speed Downloads

Before I knew it, my 25 free downloads were sitting on my hard drive, my free trial was over, and I was hooked. What was a guy to do?

Easy Signup, Affordable mp3s

Well I signed up to be a regular user. Haven’t look back since. I can now download 75 mp3s a month for less than $20. That comes out to about .22 cents a song - FAR more reasonable than iTunes.

Great User Community

Another great feature is the online community at eMusic; from monthly eZines, user created playlists and intelligent album reviews, the community adds a lot of value to the membership. Plus, eMusic features dozens of exclusive live recordings of your favorite bands.

Easy to Share

The songs are in mp3 format, without any digital restrictions on how you can play them. This makes it easy to Download, Play, and Burn MP3s. And eMusic’s MP3s work perfectly on your iPod, in iTunes, over e-mail, on burned CDs and any other way you to want share your music.

Shortcomings

The selection of music is very strong on eMusic, but there are certainly tracks and artists I couldn’t find. Still, with so much music out there to absorb today, and with eMusic adding new songs everyday, I’m not too concerned about it. When you sign up for the trial you get 25 FREE iPodĀ® compatible downloads from eMusic! Choose from over 2.5 Million songs…you’ve got nothing to loose.

Note: I love eMusic and use it every day, but I should disclose that I receive payment for everyone that signs up for the free trial at eMusic.
